I'm just not good at this!

I just dont think blogging is my fortay. I try, I really do but I opened the blog at least 6x this month intending on writing something, and the words just didn't come out. I feel like a failure, a disapointment to the net savvy, electronic world.

But, since I'm writing this, I might as well also go as far to say that all of us are doing great!

Daliah is in a toddler bed. We miscalculated and while we thought she was 18 going on 19 months this month, she's actually 16 going on 17 months so she's really quite advanced for her age (we think!) She knows cows say Mooo, and how to say pweeeese and tant u. She can count 2 & 5 but not 1,3,4 yet. She's almost got 10 teeth even though they are very scattered. She's learning to skate - see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UNpUxrw280 thanks to her brother!

Dylan is on the couch, he broke his bed jumping on it. Yes, dont ask. He's 13 now, a real teenager.  His hobbies are skating, hanging out with friends, going to the mall, facebook, and doing as much as possible sans parents (thus the no photo blog for him!) and teaching his sister to skate. He's a wonderful big brother!

Mike and I are great seeeeee:

Going on our 3rd anniversary of mawiage - it's what keeps us together foweva!

And, that's pretty much it!

(More to come in February!! I promise!!!)

To my dear Dylan on your birthday

Today, 13 years came too soon. Today, you turned 13 years old! Today, I officially am a mother of a teenager!

Even though the past 13 years sometimes seem a blur, I have made a point to cherish each moment. I remember the day you were born, and almost, every day thereafter, but it seems like it came so soon, not even 5,000 days ago, that's not that long at all.

I hope that you are as proud of me as I am of you. I have always tried to give you the best I could & even though I was never perfect, I did my best. I admire your style, even though I have no idea where it comes from. I admire your passion. I admire the way you are yourself and do not care what anyone else thinks. You stand out in a crowd and don't follow the mainstream, and for that too, I am so very proud of you.

I try to be a cool mom and let you be your crazy self, I always have, and I hope you understand on those days that I have to put my foot down, and those days that you resent me, that there are just times I have to say no and be a parent. I trust you to make good decisions in life & I trust that I have instilled good morals even though as a teenager, you won't always express them.

I know that there will be challenges ahead. I also know that whatever challenges we are faced with, we can overcome, because we have done just that, for the last 13 years, why would we stop now?

I also know that I am truly blessed beyond all belief and I am truly happy. Life is short, it goes by too fast, and doesn't ever, slow down. So, on this bittersweet day, I will rejoice and cherish each moment, listen to you, laugh with you, and appreciate being a parent, because you are a gift that was given to me and I wouldn't trade you for the world. I love you son.

Love, your mom

Blue Banana's!

Nothing like mama's tallboy blue banana  smoothie to help a teenager with his math homework! Yum!

Big week for Daliah!

I did the Sukkot Shake!

I got around...

My friend Madison turned 1 and we had chocolate cake!
